The Equitable Building is the most elegant commercial office building in Colorado. Erected in 1891-92, the Equitable Building features a gain vaulted lobby with elaborate mosaic tiles, exotic marble walls and floors, Tiffany stained glass windows, a grand staircase finished in gleaming bronze, and exquisite finishing touches. St. Charles Town Co. acquired this 205,000 square foot building in 2000, and sold 65% of the units within 9 months of its conversion to office condominiums. Total project costs were $34 million.
